Chincoteague Veteran’s Memorial Park is a beautiful waterfront family oriented recreation area featuring grassy fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, playground equipment, a fishing/crabbing pier, a ball field, boat ramp, pavilion and restrooms. This park is a great place for picnics and barbeques or letting the children play for a couple hours.
The pavilion may be reserved for groups for no fees through a permit issued by the Town. No fishing license is required to fish from the docks or pier; anglers often catch small bluefish, rockfish, white perch, trout, sandbar sharks, dog sharks, sea bass and eels. A boat ramp is available for launching power boats but a permit is required. |
