9th Annual Chincoteague Plein Air Art Event
The Chincoteague Cultural Alliance sponsors the annual Plein Air Art Event each fall that culminates in an exhibition and sale of paintings on the second Saturday of September. “Plein Air” is a French term that means painting in the open air, working directly from the landscape as it appears at that moment. More than forty artists from many states paint for two days throughout Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. On Saturday evening the 8th from 6-10 p.m. those framed paintings will be on exhibit for viewing and sale. This exhibition is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served. It will be held in Paschal Hall at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 6288 Church St. in Chincoteague.Visit www.chincoteagueculturalalliance.org for more information.
